We are delighted to announce that Prime hospital has installed a state-of-the-art mammography machine which offers a wide range of services. It is the latest Hologic 3 Dimensions machine with inbuilt AI (artificial intelligence) software along with 3 D reconstructions and computer aided diagnosis. It can perform:

2D MammographyThe Foundation of Early Detection
Our advanced 2D mammogram technology captures clear and detailed images of breast tissue, helping to identify potential issues early.

Tomosynthesis (3D Mammography) – A Revolutionary Leap in Breast Cancer Detection
We’ve taken breast imaging to the next level with Tomosynthesis. This 3D imaging technology allows us to view the breast in thin slices, revealing even the smallest abnormalities that may be missed with traditional 2D mammography. It’s faster, more detailed, and offers clearer results, reducing the need for follow-up exams.

AI-Powered InsightsAccuracy You Can Trust
Our new machine is equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to assist in interpreting images with unparalleled accuracy. The AI analyzes mammograms with lightning speed, helping our radiologists detect abnormalities earlier and more efficiently, so that we can provide timely, personalized care.

Contrast Mammography – Enhanced Clarity, Better Detection

Our contrast mammography enhances the visibility of breast tissue, using a special contrast agent to highlight blood vessels and tumors that may be difficult to spot with standard mammography. This technique provides added clarity, enabling us to detect smaller or harder-to-visualize abnormalities, which is crucial for early intervention. It is a  mammogram with additional steps. Before acquiring a mammogram, I/V injection of iodinated contrast is given.

Ultrasound

The Philips Affinity 70 Ultrasound provides clear imaging of breast tissue, abnormalities at the earliest possible stage. Whether it’s identifying lumps, cysts, or tissue changes, this state-of-the-art technology helps guide precise diagnosis.

       -Real-Time Imaging

      -Non-invasive and Safe

Breast MRI – Comprehensive Imaging for Precise Diagnosis

Siemens series 1.5 T,  For women with dense breast tissue or those at higher risk, our MRI provides an additional layer of clarity and detail. Using magnetic fields and radio waves, an MRI captures detailed, high-resolution images of the breast tissue, helping detect abnormalities that might not be visible with mammography or ultrasound.

Our Breast Interventional Procedures Include:

1. Core Needle Biopsy (CNB)

When an abnormality is detected on a mammogram, ultrasound, or MRI, a core needle biopsy may be recommended. This minimally invasive procedure involves using a special needle to remove small tissue samples from the area of concern. These samples are then examined in the lab to confirm whether cancer or any other condition is present.

2. Stereotactic Biopsy

Using advanced imaging (often mammography), we guide a fine needle to a suspicious lesion that’s difficult to feel physically. The procedure is performed in our comfortable, state-of-the-art imaging suites, where our team can obtain tissue samples with precision.

  • Ideal for detecting small, non-palpable abnormalities.
  • Highly accurate in pinpointing hard-to-reach lesions.

3. Ultrasound-Guided Biopsy

For patients with abnormalities visible on ultrasound, an ultrasound-guided biopsy can help obtain a tissue sample for analysis. This procedure provides real-time imaging, allowing us to navigate the needle with precision for a minimal-risk, highly accurate result.

  • Benefits Include:
    • Real-time visualization to guide the procedure.
    • Quick recovery and little to no downtime.
    • No radiation exposure.

4. Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA)

In some cases, a fine needle aspiration is used to remove a small amount of tissue or fluid from a cyst or mass. This procedure is often used when a mass is suspected to be a benign cyst or when fluid needs to be tested for possible infection or cancer.

  • Minimally invasive, performed under local anesthesia.
  • Quick procedure with minimal downtime.
  • Can be used for both diagnosis and treatment.

5. Wire Localization

If a lesion is too small to be felt but requires removal or biopsy, a wire localization procedure may be performed. A small wire is inserted into the breast tissue using imaging guidance to mark the area for further intervention. This can help guide a surgeon or radiologist during biopsy or surgery to ensure accurate removal.

  • Precise targeting of small or hard-to-find lesions.
  • Often used prior to surgery for accurate tumor excision.

6. Vacuum-Assisted Biopsy (VAB)

For larger or more complex abnormalities, a vacuum-assisted biopsy is used to remove larger samples of tissue. This procedure is often performed using 3D mammography or ultrasound guidance to ensure precise targeting.

  • Less invasive than traditional surgical biopsies.
  • Provides larger tissue samples for more accurate diagnosis.
  • Faster recovery with minimal scarring.

7. Breast Cancer Localization and Tumor Resection

For patients who require tumor removal following a diagnosis of breast cancer, our skilled surgeons perform minimally invasive breast cancer localization techniques to remove the tumor with precision while preserving healthy tissue.

  • Minimally invasive surgery to remove cancerous tissue.
  • Preserves as much healthy breast tissue as possible.
  • Guided by advanced imaging technologies for accurate excision.

In addition, we have a robust team of Breast Surgeon, Onco- surgeon and Oncologists providing a comprehensive breast care under one roof.
